"Dr. Bernard Hazelhof said if I was on a desert island, then I would have to get used to my own company - just me and the coconuts. He said I would have to accept myself, my warts and all, and that we don't get to choose our warts. They are part of us and we have to live with them. We can, however, choose our friends, and I am glad I have chosen you."
(Max's letter to Mary, Mary & Max)
This scene is taken (without any legal permission) from Mary & Max (2009) a brilliant stop-motion animated feature directed by Adam Elliot. What really has got into me is the song ("Que Sera Sera") that blended so well with the suicide scene to show such an irony of human's free will in choosing what to do in life.
What will be, will be.
human's free will.
BalasHapustruly irony.
